The Hub prepares to crack the children's TV market

The new children's channel from Discovery and Hasbro, The Hub, will launch Oct. 10 against a relatively small competitive set that includes Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney. "In the adults 25-to-54 demo, there are about 40 channels that do really well. In the kids' demo, there are three," Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav said recently.
