Financial planners should be using current and new technology to generate business as well as connect with clients and deepen their relationships with them, writes Shelley A. Lee. Social media isn't just a way to reach out to younger clients anymore, and planners need to be aware of newer technologies such as cloud computing and connecting with clients' smartphones via mobile applications.
