The possible causes for cat's bloody stool

Blood in a cat's stool typically means colitis, which can be caused by a number of things including parasites, inflammatory bowel disease and stress, writes veterinarian Arnold Plotnick, who recommends a high-fiber diet and a short course of medication. If that doesn't clear it up, the cat may need to be screened for cancer.
