Candidates draw policy battle-lines ahead of first debate

Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama exchanged fire over a range of policy issues on Tuesday, ratcheting up the tension ahead of Wednesday night's debate in Denver. Romney fleshed out his own positions and latched onto Vice President Joe Biden's suggestion that the middle classes were "buried" by taxes. Meanwhile, the Obama campaign continues to press Romney for more details. "We think the American people are looking for specifics," said Jen Psaki, the Obama campaign's traveling press secretary.
