Federal shutdown forces closure of Head Start sites in Miss.

The federal government shutdown has forced the indefinite closure of 17 Head Start Sites in Mississippi. The shutdown did not affect all Head Start sites nationwide because they have different funding renewal dates. An official said if the shutdown persists, closures will occur for sites with Nov. 1 renewal dates.
