Nokia wants to become the third-party mapping supplier of choice by supplying services to global carriers, car makers and other companies. The Finnish outfit plans to turn to providing services and software as one of its main profit drivers in the aftermath of selling its phone business to Microsoft. "Our strategy is straight, most companies out there don't have a map asset. We have become a neutral supplier to everybody who doesn't have their own map asset," Executive Vice President Michael Halbherr said.
