In policy shift, China starts rejecting some Western waste

China has long been the world's waste-processing and recycling hub, but the country has now begun rejecting waste containers that it says are contaminated or improperly sorted. The policy shift could help the U.S. recycling industry. "This is going to spur investment in the United States to process materials here," predicts recycling executive Brian Conners.
