Lawmaker tells Obama to consider climate bill to spur economic growth

President Barack Obama should take up a bill to curb carbon emissions as he moves to stimulate growth in the U.S. economy, said Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. Her statement comes after she and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., introduced a cap-and-trade plan that seeks a 20% reduction in greenhouse gases by 2020, with 2005 as a base year.
