Laptops are blamed for "toasted skin"

Doctors are increasingly seeing patients with a skin condition nicknamed "Toasted Skin Syndrome," which stems from repeatedly resting a laptop on one's legs while in use. Heat from the computers can lead to permanent discoloration and could even raise the risk of cancer in some rare cases, researchers report.
