Apple buys shuttered Cue to take on Google Now

Apple has bought personal assistant software maker Cue in what industry observers believe is an attempt to beef up its Siri service in the company's competition with Google Now, Apple confirmed Thursday. Cue, which shuttered the mobile application on Wednesday, reached into other cellphone software such as Facebook, e-mail and Twitter, to supply users with a daily schedule and other important information.
