Mental health service provider faces up to 10 years for Medicaid fraud

Delores F. Thomas, a mental health service provider in Hampton, Va., faces up to 10 years in prison for defrauding the Medicaid program out of almost $1.5 million. Thomas falsely claimed that 66 children needed the mental health treatments that her facility, New Season Clinical Services, provided. She pleaded guilty this week and has agreed to pay almost $1.5 million in restitution; sentencing is set for January.
