Nurses connected to cancer clinic fraud scheme to plead guilty

Mississippi nurses Courtney Michelle Young and Brittany Davis Powell plan to plead guilty for their involvement in a cancer clinic health care fraud scheme, according to court filings. Both nurses face charges of withholding information about the fraud scheme run by their former employer, clinic owner Dr. Meera Sachdeva, who falsely billed Medicaid and Medicare for almost $15.1 million. The change of plea hearing has been set for Oct. 15.
