New tool will port iPhone apps to Intel-based devices

Intel wants to make it easier for developers to link their iPhone applications to Intel-based wireless devices, so the chip maker plans to produce a tool to do so in hopes of creating more demand for its chips. In a related development, CEO Paul Otellini told the Council on Foreign Relations that Intel came late to the game of designing and producing chips for mobile devices.
