Report highlights a "steady erosion" of infrastructure

Congress has long ignored investing in infrastructure, which has led to the degradation of roads, railways and ports, according to a report by transportation experts. Lawmakers must reverse "a steady erosion of the social and economic foundations for American prosperity" with investment in infrastructure, the report states. It calls for raising funds with a gas tax.
