New $1B airport terminal opens in Sacramento, Calif.

California's Sacramento International Airport is opening a new $1 billion terminal today. The project included a new terminal and concourse and an elevated people mover. The cost of the job -- which created 2,400 jobs over 30 months of construction -- dropped from $1.3 billion to $1 billion as a result of officials deciding to defer construction of a hotel and parking garage due to the recession.
