CEA's call for voluntary e-waste recycling hits responsive chord

Creating a patchwork of state laws to govern the mandatory recycling of e-waste is confusing to manufacturers and consumers alike, according to the CEA. The association has instead recommended a voluntary recycling effort by CE manufacturers, a suggestion that has been implemented by firms such as Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba.
