Chart ranks construction costs for major cities

A chart compiled by RSMeans includes the dollar-per-square-foot construction costs for 25 large U.S. cities in four different industrial building categories. New York has the most expensive construction costs in the country, according to the report. Factories are the most expensive structures to build, followed by auto dealerships, aircraft hangars and warehouses.
