How an all-male board could make Twitter less innovative

Twitter's board of directors as a public company will be solely white men, a disappointing decision that could leave the company with a post-IPO innovation problem, Nilofer Merchant writes for Time. Twitter's board structure and composition is less likely than a diverse group of directors to spot opportunities and deliver strong returns, Merchant argues. "And while an all white male board could conceivably have that ability to challenge one another, the likelihood is much higher if the board included a broader range of experiences," she writes.
