Company generates small appliance energy ratings

Savenia Labs is a Maryland-based company that tests the environmental impact ratings on small appliances, similar to what the federal Energy Star program does for washers and refrigerators. Savenia has teamed up with the University of Maryland's Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering to conduct and report on testing.
