52% of N.J. residents favor legalization of sports betting

A poll conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University shows 52% of New Jersey residents favor legalizing sports betting. "Even those who have little or no interest in the issue favor sports betting by a 10-point margin," said poll director Peter Woolley. The November ballot will contain a nonbinding referendum that asks whether the New Jersey Constitution should be amended to allow such wagering.
