Editorial: Volcker rule isn't perfect but better than status quo

U.S. regulators are about start considering implementation of the Volcker rule, which is to curb the ability of federally insured banks to use their own money to bet on derivatives, securities and other financial instruments. "Whatever form it takes will be far from perfect. It will also be better than the status quo," according to this editorial.
