The successful e-prescribing efforts of five medical practices profiled in a study in the Annals of Family Medicine hinged on a three-phased approach: planning, implementation and use. "Creation of super users within the physician practices was an essential component for successful e-prescribing" during the implementation phase, said lead researcher Jesse Crosson of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
