Report cites "meaningful use" challenges, offers tips

Adopting computerized physician order entry systems and handling the implementation of the ICD-10 system are among the top 10 challenges faced by hospitals in complying with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act's "meaningful use" standards, according to a report by Computer Sciences. Authors of the report also offered tips to hospitals on how to achieve meaningful use, such as clearly communicating the benefits of meaningful use and undertaking a highly coordinated effort.
