BASF unveils polyurethane-development facility in Poland

German chemical major BASF has invested almost $14 million in its Polyurethane Solutions System House at Srem, Poland. The facility, which will receive raw materials from Germany, will develop and produce PU systems. "Our investment in Srem emphasizes the significance of this region for BASF. ... This is a further step towards the continuous expansion of our leading position in the polyurethane market," said Wayne T. Smith, president of BASF's PU unit.
