Biden, Ryan clash in Kentucky debate

Vice President Joe Biden and challenger Rep. Paul Ryan clashed in a heated debate on Thursday night, tangling repeatedly over tax policy, Medicare, Social Security and job creation. Biden sought to dominate the debate, and perhaps eked out a narrow victory, but Ryan performed well and generally held his own, pundits said. "If Americans wanted to know what a real debate sounds like, they got one Thursday night," writes Gerald Seib.
