Joint replacement registry to start data collection soon

The American Joint Replacement Registry will launch soon to begin collecting information on hip and knee replacements in order to facilitate quicker identification of problems linked to the devices. Several device makers, including Johnson & Johnson and Zimmer Holdings, are supporting the project, which was conceived by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
