Price, content crimp 3DTV sales, but forecast is rosier

Consumers have been slow to buy 3DTV sets, wary of their high prices and lack of content, according to a report from research firm DisplaySearch. "Consumers have been told that 3DTV is the future, but there still remains a huge price jump and little 3D content to watch," said the firm's Paul Gray. But long-term, DisplaySearch predicts better technology and more content will lead to "tremendous growth" in sales by 2014.
