Inspect propane systems to ensure safety in winter, officials say

Homeowners should have their propane systems inspected for leaks and defects to guarantee safety before winter arrives, safety officials said. In the event of a leak, homeowners should immediately shut the tank, open up windows and doors in the house, leave the area and "call for assistance from another location," said LeAnn Miller of Sapp Bros. Petroleum.
