Atlantic City downturn contributes to N.J. unemployment

New Jersey's unemployment rate has climbed to 9.7%, and unemployment in Atlantic County is 11.8%. The state has lost around 155,700 jobs since the beginning of the recession, including casino jobs in Atlantic City. The gambling destination reported revenue declines in June, July and August, marking the worst summer in its 31-year history.
