Sinclair expects to beat earlier Q3 sales projections

Sinclair Broadcast Group anticipates Q3 sales to beat earlier projections -- the company now expects to tally $136 million in revenue instead of a previously anticipated $126.6 million. The stronger bottom line is being attributed to the extended "Cash for Clunkers" program, increases in political ads for health care and other state issues, higher retransmission fees and improved ad sales in certain segments in August and September.
