FDA approves Restylane injection for lip augmentation

Restylane, a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, has received approval from the FDA for use in lip augmentation. A panel of FDA advisers in April reviewed a study of 135 patients who received the treatment, which has been on the market in the U.S. since 2005 as a therapy for facial folds and wrinkles.
