Study: 40% of mobile-device owners use item while watching TV

About 40% of Americans who own a mobile device use it while watching television, and the majority are checking e-mail, according to a Nielsen survey. Searching on subject matter unrelated to TV programming is the second-highest-rated activity, while 20% said they look up ad-related information.
