Study: Sprint intervals help burn calories in less time

Sprint-interval training for just 2.5 minutes helped participants burn up to 200 extra calories, a study presented at The Integrative Biology of Exercise VI meeting indicated. The results may not translate into weight loss, but short, intense workouts may help in maintaining a healthy weight, researchers said.
