The recent EDUCA 2013 conference in Thailand for teachers' professional development focused largely on what has made Finland's schools so successful. Among other things, Pasi Sahlberg, head of the Centre for International Mobility and Cooperation at Finland's Ministry of Education and Culture, credited the government's support of teachers and the country's focus on collaboration, customisation and equity.
