NAB backs post-DTV analog window for emergency alerts, transition info

House and Senate measures that would authorize broadcasters to air analog emergency alerts, as well as DTV transition information, for several weeks after the Feb. 17 DTV switchover are being backed by the NAB's TV Board of Directors. "This voluntary commitment would apply only to stations where the continuation of the analog signal is technically feasible," according to a TV Board resolution.
