Small businesses love, hate social media, depending on who's asked

Small businesses are embracing social media with vigor, and nearly half have Facebook and Twitter profiles, claims a study that seems to contradict another recent report by Citibank -- which found that most small businesses don't use social media. The contradiction is in the fine print: The former study comes from Internet2Go and MerchantCircle, who surveyed their Web-savvy clients. That demographic was already likely to embrace social networks, Caroline McCarthy writes.
