Glass material may bolster wound healing in diabetes patients

Researchers at the Missouri University of Science and Technology have developed a nanofiber borate glass material designed to expedite wound healing in patients with diabetes. The material works by stimulating the body to generate new blood vessels that improve blood supply to the wounds, experts said.
