Supercommittee gets deficit-cutting advice, remains divided

The congressional supercommittee charged with identifying more than $1 trillion in deficit reductions has received a mountain of advice about how to approach the task, but it's unclear how much of it will help. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said he thought the committee would be successful in its task, but ideological divides remain among committee members.
