Colo. regulators to impose sanctions on several firms for violating fracking disclosure rule

Noble Energy, ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil are among the energy producers that will be facing sanctions over violating a state hydraulic fracturing chemical-disclosure rule in Colorado, state regulators said. "I don't think we've seen anyone who is deliberately not complying with the rule. It's mostly mistakes and perhaps missing deadlines or basically not keeping up with the volume of paperwork that they have to report," said Peter Gowen, an enforcement officer with the state's Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
