Cruise lines say Jamaican port of Falmouth is not ready

P&O Cruises' Aurora and Holland America Line's Ryndham were scheduled to arrive in Jamaica's new port of Falmouth on Nov. 3, but the Jamaica Gleaner reports that the ships will be diverted because the port is not ready. "The diversion of the Aurora and Ryndham from their scheduled Nov. 3 port call to Falmouth was based on a decision taken between the respective lines (Holland America and P&O Cruises), the Port Authority of Jamaica and Royal Caribbean, who felt that it would be better to wait until the terminal buildings, landscaping and other features of the port area were completed," said Jason Hall, of the Jamaica Tourist Board.
