Canadian researchers have developed a pair of mobile applications for Apple's iOS platform aimed at arthritis patients and medical professionals. ArthritisID is designed to help consumers diagnose their problems, while doctors can use ArthritisID PRO as an interactive tool for screening and for determining the best course of treatment, the developers said. "[W]e kept hearing from pharmacists, family doctors, physiotherapists and patients that they were buried under handouts. Hence the app," said rheumatologist John Esdaile.
