Location data find common ground across diverse businesses

Location data are crucial to businesses in sectors as diverse as communications, agriculture and retail, writes Natasha Léger. Agribusinesses can use location data to track where foods come from to avoid widespread recalls -- and both retailers and farmers can use the data to find the best locations for expansion, experts say. The challenge remains finding employees with the right geospatial technology skills, Léger adds.
