Google has offered details about its updated Android 4.0 operating system -- known as Ice Cream Sandwich -- and today, Samsung Electronics said it would make the first model based on the platform: the Galaxy Nexus, which is set to be released globally next month. "This will be our strategic product for year-end holiday season," said JK Shin, president and head of Samsung's mobile-communications business. The 4G handset has a curved design and is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display. Rival HTC says it is reviewing its options for the Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Samsung will release first Android 4.0 phone in November
