U.S. reports 0.2% increase in industrial production for September

U.S. industrial production climbed 0.2% in September, the Federal Reserve said. The slight increase was due to the uptick in production from the manufacturing and mining sectors. "This is a 'not-bad' report," said Patrick Newport, an economist from IHS Global Insight. "It shows the manufacturing sector moving forward during September, though at an uninspiring rate during a very rocky quarter."
