Wellness option is part of city plan to reduce health costs

The town of Normal, Ill., aims to reduce health costs by adding tiers to its employee insurance plan and offering a wellness option that provides health risk screenings. Officials say employees will be urged to take their screening results to their physician to determine if treatment is needed, and those who do not take the wellness option will pay higher premiums.
