Calif. fault is "overdue" for a major earthquake, seismologist says

The southern section of California's San Andreas fault is "overdue" for triggering an earthquake of magnitude 7 or higher, says seismologist Lucy Jones of the U.S. Geological Survey. "The San Andreas earthquake is the most likely catastrophic disaster to hit the United States at this point," Jones says.
