UCLA institute, Photron team up for laboratory instrumentation

Photron USA, a developer of imaging systems and image analysis software, has agreed to donate three cameras to the California NanoSystems Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, for use in its Advanced Light Microscopy/Spectroscopy laboratory. The lab focuses on optical imaging and advanced image analysis methods in research on macromolecules, cellular dynamics and biomaterials. The cameras "will greatly aid our investigators in the ALMS core lab as they develop new methods of molecular imaging," CNSI Director Paul S. Weiss said.
