Cloud-management demand helps propel VMware revenues forward

Virtualization technology player VMware beat analyst estimates as its revenue hit $714 million for the third quarter, a 46% increase compared with the same period a year ago. VMware predicts fourth-quarter revenue will land between $790 million and $810 million, and it cited cloud-management sales as a primary driver.
