Report: Offers in welcome e-mails bring higher sales

Promotional offerings as part of welcome e-mails to new users yield higher sales than similar deals presented as part of a bulk e-mail offering, according to Experian Marketing Services. Users also open welcome e-mails and click through to the site more often; the report also found that welcome e-mails with social media links have higher click rates than those without.
