WCIRB: Workers' comp rates increased 3% in Calif. in first half of 2010

Workers' compensation rates in California increased 3% on average during the first half of 2010, compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California. Workers' compensation carriers' premium volume increased 16% during the first six months of the year, compared with year-earlier levels, the WCIRB added.
